OVERALL MANAGEMENT BENEFITS OF FISHERIES ELECTRONIC LOGBOOK SOLUTIONS
Improved data qualityThe Olrac Data Management System (Fisheries Data Management Software) dramatically increases the quality and integrity of data collected at sea.
Better Stock AssessmentsAllows for up-to-date and accurate data to be used for TAC estimation, thus eliminating much uncertainty and adding weight and justifcation to TAC allocations.
Bridging the gap between fishers, managers and scientistsIn combination, the above benefits of vessel-based e-Log technology have the capacity to unify fisher, manager and scientist under the common goal of accurate, credible and transparent data collection.
Decisions can be made in real-timeFaster transmission of information from sea to shore allows for “on-time reaction”, i.e. decisions made on a regulatory, managerial, commercial or environmental basis are relevant to what is actually happening at sea.
Catch Prediction and ManagementBuilt-in analytical tools available within the Olrac Dynamic Data Manager (Fisheries Data Management Software) help fishers calculate and predict fish migration, fishing hotspots, avoidance of “dry” or “high” by-catch areas.
HOW MUCH DOES FISHERIES DATA MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE COST?The Olrac Fisheries Electronic Logbook Solutions (Fisheries eLog) pricing model includes two segments:
- Initial, once off fee for product customisation and deployment: Costs are estimated on time and material and submitted to client in the form of a Statement of Work (SOW).
- Ongoing annual licensing fee which is an agreed-upon % of the initial development costs, typically 20% -30% of initial costs.
Licenses for Olrac software includes ad-hoc telephonic, email and remote access (where possible) support for the installed software.
Such support will be provided to resolve bugs or issues that prevent the software from operating as intended as per agreed specifications, or that hinder the normal operation of the software.
